Spooky Melodies and Eerie Vocals from Sammie Beare

by Lydia Plantamura

Mysterious and edgy, electro-pop artist, Sammie Beare has a new video to be released on March 1st, plus several other projects in the works. Her most recent release is the single, “R U OK?” featuring HVSHI and produced by L.S.D. The track is a compilation of spooky melodies, eerie vocals, and rhythmic rhymes. The song pulls listeners through layers of trap beats that shift into dark and distorted drops. Although “R U OK?” was just released, fans are already hyped up for her next drop.

“I am currently working on two songs,” says Sammie Beare. “One of which is called ‘Suffocate,’ which I am very proud of.”

This track singles in on the guitar and electronic mixture. Songs by Sammie Beare have a variety of styles and she often has a tendency of genre flipping.

“‘Suffocate’ is about a love that you want so bad that it suffocates you,” she explains. “It’s edgy, leaning toward a grunge side. It’s about love and what happens when it doesn’t work out.

Sammie Beare wants her audience to be able to relate to her on a deeper level. She is offering a song to anyone who has ever been through heartbreak or felt confused in a relationship.

“Usually I have the same message for my songs about love or loving yourself or just something emotional that makes the listener feel something.”

Based in her hometown of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Sammie Beare credits her father as the first person to introduce her to music. She started posting cover songs on YouTube when she was only 16 years old, and two years ago, Sammie Beare began taking her craft more seriously, stepping into the studio to record professionally. Self-taught in everything she does, she plays both the guitar and piano. Although music was always her dream, it was only after she entered a recording studio for the first time that she realized her hobby could become a career. Sammie Beare’s debut song was with the artist, Earbutter. Their track, “Sukkubus,” gained a lot of attention after being remixed by Riot Ten. Since then, she has dropped many singles, plus an album titled Loser.

Sammie Beare is stunningly photogenic with bold makeup and vibrant hair that shifts through a rainbow of color. She’s spent lots of time in front of the camera with professional photographers, and her Instagram page is a collection of visually engaging photography.

“The most important aspect of my work is the dedication and content creation,” Sammie Beare says.

Her social media following has grown to over 7,000 on Instagram and reached the maximum capacity on Facebook. Sammie Beare constantly engages with her active fanbase. She is dedicated to her craft, spending hours of her day planning photo shoots, brainstorming videos, and working in the studio. Often collaborating with other artists in her area, Sammie Bear has built good connections with videographers, photographers, and producers. She is starting to learn production herself, helping her develop as an artist, and promoting her brand further. Sammie Beare also has plans for a clothing line, and she already has a hoodie that she created herself!

“No matter what anyone thinks, I’m going to continue with my craft because I believe that music is going to take me places,” Sammie Beare vows. “You just kind of know.”

“R U OK?” and “Suffocate” are available on all major streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
